Obedience classes information
Please note, all dogs to have received their second vaccination (puppies) or annual booster (adults) to take part in these classes. You will usually be asked to observe the class the first time you attend and then join the club to continue training with us. You will need to bring treats and/or a toy your dog likes once you start the class.

Puppy classes in both venues and also beginners' classes in Mallusk are currently operating a waiting list-
Ring Charlie Baker on 02890848244 for classes in Mallusk or Rachel Cooper on 07855474414 for puppy classes in Holywood.
Venue 1: The Orange Hall, Mallusk
Beginner dogs/ handlers must ring Charlie, as above, to book a place on one of our Mallusk courses for inexperienced dogs & puppies. (For our purposes, puppies are under 10 months when starting the Puppy Foundation course).

Monday nights, except the first in the month as follows:
6.30pm to 7.00pm Puppy Foundation Award Training, all puppies to be fully vaccinated, under 10 months of age when they start the course
7.00pm to 7.45pm Bronze Good Citizen's training
7.45pm to 8.30pm Silver Good Citizen's training
8.30pm to 9.15pm Gold Good Citizen's training
and on Thursdays as follows:
7.30pm - 9.30pm approx. Advanced/ Competition obedience training
The competition class includes advanced competition training with a selection of club trainers, coaching in show etiquette and ring habits, training for the Kennel Club Special Pre-Beginners' Stakes and occasional sessions given by guest trainers.
There are two Clicker training sessions once a month taken by Rachel Cooper (any level of ability welcome).
Members are welcome to attend these classes at will if they are interested in competition obedience training or clicker training, just ask your trainer for details.
Venue 2: The Redburn Community Centre, Jackson's Road, Holywood
Beginner dogs/ handlers must ring or email Rachel Cooper to book a place on one of our Holywood 7 week courses for puppies, telephone 07855474414 (after 4pm) or text any time and she will sign you up! Our Bronze courses for beginner handlers is roll-on, roll-off, which means that you can arrive any time and join in.

Friday nights as follows:
7.00pm to 7.30pm Puppy Foundation Award class, all puppies to be fully vaccinated, under 10 months of age when they start the 7week course, book in as above.
7.30pm to 8.15pm Bronze Good Citizen's Award training, roughly a 10 week course
8.15pm to 9.00pm Silver/ Gold Good Citizen's Award training
9.00pm to 10.00pm Advanced/ Competition training
